The Spaces and Services Area is integrated into the Operations Department of Instituto Superior Técnico and aims to guarantee excellence in the management and provision of spaces and services, promoting the well-being of all users, whether in institutional activities or in academic or recreational activities.
The Spaces and Services Area is responsible for the management and provision of spaces and support services for the various events at IST. Its main objective is to ensure that the physical spaces and associated services function efficiently, safely, and comfortably for users.
What do we do?
Support for Event Organization: preparation and logistics of rooms, equipment, and various resources;
Ensuring general operational services to the School such as: dispatch and mail; transport, storage, and handling of objects; management and maintenance of the vehicle fleet and reprographics.
Management of the Técnico Innovation Center Building;
Space Reservation: planning, allocation, and optimization of the use of available spaces for events;
Sustainability: implementation of good environmental and energy efficiency practices.
The Spaces and Services Area aims to ensure a functional, safe, and welcoming environment, promoting the well-being of all users. It fulfills its mission through the following units:
